FIGUEROA Ignacio

Born in Argentina in 1999, he began his piano studies at the age of 12 with
Gabriela Gonzalez. In 2013, he entered the Higher Institute of Music at the National University of Tucumán, guided by Professor Oscar Buriek. Later, he continued his training at the Faculty of Arts and Design of the National University of Cuyo (Mendoza) under the guidance of Professor Tatiana Takhmanova, where he graduated.

Thanks to his training, he has received grants for his pianistic improvement and development from the “El Sonido y El Tiempo” International Foundation, the National Arts Fund and the Argentine Mozarteum, enabling him to take lessons with renowned teachers in Buenos Aires. In 2023, he had the opportunity to be heard by Edith Fischer, who gave him a scholarship to take part in the 35th edition of the Semaine Internationale de Piano et Musique de Chambre.

In addition to his performing career, he has acquired solid experience in the field of musical research, and has been awarded grants from the Secretariat of Research, International Relations and Postgraduate (SIIP-UNCuyo) and the National Interuniversity Council (CIN). He has presented his work at national and international conferences and symposia.

He has performed in renowned venues in Buenos Aires, Mendoza, San Juan and Tucumán, and has also taken part in national and international festivals.

He currently works as a pianist and chamber musician, and accompanies singers and choirs.
